The Beginning

Our property was purchased approximately ten years ago and we have lived in the original 1950’s ranch home up until its recent demolition. We love the property and wanted to stay in the neighborhood so we decided to build a new home on the site. It was an exhilarating as well as a challenging experience to watch our new home built as we lived in the old home only footsteps behind the new.

Choosing A Builder

We began the process of building a new home with our architect Dan Marshall. We interviewed four builders and were looking for the one who would deliver the best overall value, service, and end product. Dan Marshall suggested we talk to Fred Didier. We visited one of Didier’s luxury tour homes and were impressed by the craftsmanship and the attention to detail. Fred was the type of person we could work closely with to build our dream home. With four kids of his own, Fred understood the needs of our family.

Building The House

We have always been interested in architecture and construction, so from the outset, we intended on being very involved in the design and building process. It was important to us that our house be unique. The home needed to take advantage of the beautiful property we had learned to adore. We decided to build a craftsman style home with a connection to its surroundings. It was a great experience to work with Dan and Fred – they work in tandem and the results are amazing. They were invaluable in helping guide the thousands of decisions we made during the project. Fred made sure to keep us fully updated, and we spoke to him and his team daily.

The Results

As they put the finishing touches on our house, we are in awe of the final result. It was amazing to see this home take shape. It has been the experience of a lifetime and we owe that to Fred and his team.
