LAURA GLEAMZA, INTERIOR DESIGNER
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University, am certified by NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification), and have been providing professional interior design services in the Fox Valley for over a decade.

My job is to help our customers during the design selection process. While it is very exciting to be building a custom home, the number of decisions required to complete the project can sometimes seem overwhelming. To simplify the process, my first meeting with the customer is in their existing home where we take an inventory of the existing furnishings, complete a lifestyle questionnaire, and discuss their vision for the new home. The meetings that follow take place at various showrooms based on the information collected during conversations with the customer. The end result is to select the appropriate design components (flooring, cabinetry, molding, lighting, countertops, plumbing fixtures, color selections, electrical outlet placement, furniture placement, etc) that will make their house the place they want to come home to every day.

I believe that the best designs come from thoughtful planning and collaborative thinking among builder, supervisor, architect and designer. At Didier Custom Homes we are fortunate to have that type of team and the synergy between us allows us to create magnificent homes.

I live in Geneva with my husband and 3 boys. My favorite activities away from work are anything that has to do with my family.
