My father started Marshall Architects 40 years ago and I started working in his office in junior high school for spending money -- I never intended it to become a career. However, I realized that I was hooked my senior year in high school and I went on to earn my B.S. in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Illinois.

In order for me to create a house that will reflect my clients' lifestyle, I first meet with them to get a sense of what they want in a house: style, size, number of rooms, etc. I also get a feeling for their lifestyle -- how they are going to live in the house. From there I start designing. I love pushing each house I design to the next level -- whether it is making it more authentic or stretching the style to fit the space. It is rewarding for me to see the houses being built and the families living in them.

I have been working with Didier Custom Homes for over 8 years. We make a great team because Fred and I not only are dedicated to building the best house possible, we also both get excited by designing and building beautiful houses.

As a third generation Kane County native, I currently live in South Elgin with my wife and 3 kids. In my time away from work, I love to spend time with my family and friends, preferably outdoors.
