FREDRIC DIDIER, PRESIDENT
I started Didier Custom Homes, Inc. in 1994 as a result of my love affair with building that began in high school when my brother and I helped my parents design and build our new home. This experience of building our house with our own hands was exhilarating -- we started with a plot of land and a blank piece of paper, and from that created a beautiful house. Seeing it come together was magical. I find that I feel that way about every home I help create. To me each home is a living work of art and the people who I choose to work on my houses are true artisans.

I live in St. Charles with my wife Ellen and my four sons. One of the reasons that I enjoy managing my own company is that it allows me to control my schedule so that I can spend time with my family. It's important to me to be able to coach my sons' football teams, watch their soccer games, attend their school concerts and help them with their homework. I feel fortunate to live in the Fox Valley area where I can have the right balance of work and family.
